#SIMPLE AND EASY WAYS OF IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY


HOW TO STAY PRODUCTIVE


  • Go back to basics - 6 hours of sleep, healthy breakfast and exercise. It keeps our mind sharp and relaxed. 
  • "ME" morning time - Go in early to check social profiles, news sites, and personal emails, then close the window. It will help you remember your needs and keep your happy and satisfied. 
  • Clear defined tasks - Ask yourself "what needs to be done next to finish your project", and write it done. It will help you stay focused and get your job done on time with quality. 

  • Hourly schedule - Set your goals by the hour, avoid multitasking. It will help you get actual products, I mean its better to have some finished work in hand rather than many unfinished things.

  • Check in times - Decide 'what time do you get most of the emails' or 'what time you dont have important work to do', and use that particular time to check your emails or IM's. You dont have to check them all day. It will save your time.

  • 15 minute walks - Get outside in the fresh air a few time to avoid staring at one thing with a brain freeze. Let's face it no one can do a particular job for hours the entire day! It will help you relax, calm your mind and cool down your overheating thinking caps. 
  • Plan meeting days (if possible) - Keep a few days you decide to meet people for business and keep the other days as task days. It will help you save time, and most importantly, the frame of mind you have while doing tasks and paperwork is different from the demeanour when you interact with people, so it helps efficiency.   

  • Have a calendar - There a few apps that has pop up alarms when in the zone, and tells you everything you have to do in a particular time period. It helps you know what all you have to do next (that week), hence keeps you mentally prepared. 
     

  • Be accountable - Don't stop until its finished, which is why setting realistic goals is important. Don't give big jobs a small period. 


  •  Switch up sceneries - Move to different parts of the office or house to avoid create blocks. For example go to the office cafeteria if possible, with your laptop and enjoy a cup up coffee too.

  • Don't bring it home - Finish everything at the office don't get that work home. When you come home, relax. It helps you refresh and spend time with your family or yourself , you will also get time to think well. Plus things can get a little messy when you shift documents from one place to another and back ;) .

  • Be self aware - Realise what keeps you on track and what gets you off track. It will help you be more efficient and organised.

  • Stay in sync with 'why' - Most importantly remember your passion, your motivation, and your reason for choosing the life or career you have. It will help you keep motivated, happy and not stressed out.
